Venture Stage Company is the professional wing of DMR Adventures, a leading performing arts academy and production company based out of Charlottesville, VA. We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Theatre Technicians and Designers to join our collaborative team for our production of Dogfight, with the potential for more opportunities at Venture and DMR in the future. About the Role:
We are looking for individuals with experience as a stagehand and a foundational understanding of theatre operations.
Our ideal candidates are versatile and eager to contribute to multiple technical departments.
Rate based on experience, starting $14 per hour.

Designers should be able to demonstrate theoretical and practical design skills and have realized/executed designs under their belt already. We are looking for designers for Costume, Sound, or Lights.

Key dates to note:
Load in November 1st.
Tech November 2nd to November 6th.
Opens November 7th and closes November 16th.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Assisting with the setup and operation of audio equipment
Setting up, executing, and running lighting designs and plots.
Contributing to set construction and carpentry projects
Supporting various aspects of stage management and run crew as needed

Desired Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in a theatre setting
Experience and interest in multiple theatre departments (e.g., AV and Lighting, Carpentry and Stage Management)
A collaborative spirit with a genuine heart for youth education and mentorship
Availability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed
